Nigeria-born British actress Sophie Okonedo will play the lead character in BBC’s upcoming political thriller, Undercover. The actress, born to a Nigerian father and Jewish mother, will be joined by Adrian Lester in the movie written by popular playwright and screenwriter, Peter Moffat.
Okonedo will play the role of Maya, an ambitious black woman in the forthcoming project. She is best remembered for her role in Hotel Rwanda where she played the role of Tatiana Rusesabagina, earning a Best Supporting Actress nomination at the Oscars for her efforts.
