2face Idibia, Wizkid, AKA, Black Motion and Togolese music group, Toofan have been added to the list of performers for the MTV Africa Music Awards billed to hold in KwaZulu-Natal on July 18, 2015.
2face, Wizkid and others will join Ne-Yo, Jhene Aiko, Young Thug, Davido, Bucie, Diamond Platnumz, Yemi Alade, Cassper Nyovest earlier announced as performers at the showpiece event in South Africa this month.
2face, who’s in the running for the ‘Evolution’ award created to celebrate 10 years of MTV Base on the African continent this year, is widely regarded as Africa’s leading music star.
Other performers who are among nominees include Black Motion nominated for Best Group while AKA and Wizkid are both in contention for Best Male. Among nominees set to perform, Toofan will show the continent why he bagged nominations in 4 categories – Best Live, Song of the Year, Best Collaboration and Best Francophone.
