Nigerian rapper, Michael Ugochukwu Stephens better known as Ruggedman is a year older today September 20, 2015. The Abia state born rapper has come a long way in the music industry and he is credited as one of those who revolutionalised Nigerian rap genre.
The award winning rapper became an instant household name after the release of his first official single, ‘Ehen’ which featured Nomoreloss.
A graduate of Political Science from Lagos State University, Ruggedman is reputed as one of the most versatile rappers whose style of hip hop made the genre street friendly. He has to his credit, 4 studio albums; Thy Album Come (2004), Ruggedy Baba (2007), Untouchable (2010) and Money Making Music (2012).
Ruggedman is also an astute businessman who owns and operates his own musical imprint and years ago launched his own fashion label, TSW which was formerly known as the September 20th Wear.
To mark his birthday, the Rugged Records boss is set to host a star studded launch of his 2015 collection, TSW which is set to have performances from top music acts including MI Abaga, Solidstar, Kcee and many others.
