Davido is heading to Zimbabwe on Saturday, August 29, 2015. And apart from fans who can’t wait to see him, the country’s musicians are looking forward to a rare opportunity to connect and collaborate.
The two-time MAMA best male act and NECLive speaker is scheduled to perform alongside locals Soul Africa, Dj Stavo, Ashy Styles and Gary B.
One popular act Trevor Dongo says of his expectations: ‘I am ready to steal the show and prove to both the fans and promoters that I have what it takes to be among the performers sharing the stage with Davido, one of the most talented artistes. If everything goes well I will be happy to record a duet with Davido.’
Organisers, Chipaz Promotions say the bestselling Nigerian act is expected to arrive Zimbabwe on Friday afternoon with his HKN band.
‘We are happy with the preparations of the show as everything is going according to the script and it is now left to the artistes not to spoil the show. Davido will perform for the average one-and-half to two hours, which is the international standard.’
Davido has also confirmed this in an Instagram post.
