Being a disc jockey has become a big profession over the years with the likes of DJ Jimmy Jatt, DJ Xclusive and many other top DJs gaining prominence in the music industry. The DJ business has also become so lucrative that female DJs have also embraced the trade.

Here are 5 DJs to watch out for…

1. DJ Lambo: Chocolate CEO, MI’s official DJ is currently one of the most-sought after disc jockeys in Nigeria. Born Olawunmi Okerayi, DJ Lambo started out as an OAP before she got signed to Loopy Music (now integrated into Chocolate City) in 2013. She has released two mixtapes, The Beginning and Summer time.
2. DJ Cuppy: Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola, daughter of Billionaire businessman, Femi Otedola is perhaps one of the most talked about DJs in the country at the moment. The beautiful Lagos indigene started manning the wheels at 16 and has continued to improve on her skills. She is currently on an African tour which she kicked off in Lagos on Saturday, August 1, 2015. She is currently studying for her MSc in Music Business at the New York University.
3. DJ Consequence: Aristocrat Records DJ Consequence is also one of the top disc jockeys in the country. Named Akeredolu Precious Pelumi at birth, she graduated with a degree in English Language from the University of Lagos, DJ Consequence is also a celebrity DJ for top night clubs like Quilox and Club Rumors.
4. DJ Real: Dj Real is currently one of the buzzing DJs in the country having performed at several top shows. He has also released a couple of Mix tapes which feature top songs and is also known as the ‘Emir of Alaba’.
5. DJ Eninoney: Younger brother of YBNL boss,  Olamide and the official DJ for the label, DJ Enimoney has become a popular name in entertainment circle. Real name as Eniola Olamilekan Adedeji, he is one of the buzzing disc jockeys to watch out for.
